The ACO Market & Spiral Foods Organic Stage

Come visit Australia’s only Certified Organic Market to taste and buy a dazzling array of organic food and drinks! This year the Australian Certified Organic Market will host the first ever “The BFA Junior Organic Cook-Off at MasterChef Live” with twelve LIVE shows taking place over the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the event. Watch as senior primary school children - who have been practicing their cooking skills for up to three months prior - race against the clock with the assistance of your favourite organic celebrity chefs, such as Simon Lawson, in a bid to outdo their peers and present the best dishes on the day. The pressure is on!!

The participating schools are some of the 800 schools nationwide which have adopted BFA's Organic School Gardens Program and will use seasonal organic produce amongst other ingredients on the day.

Holly Vyner General Manager of BFA (parent body for ACO) says she hopes that the “The BFA Junior Organic Cook-Off at MasterChef Live” will raise awareness of the importance of organic foods for children:

"The health benefits of eating organic for children are particularly relevant. Some of the key benefits include reducing food intolerances, reducing exposure to antibiotics, hormone disruptors and toxins (most important for growing and developing bodies) and gaining a taste for healthy food at a young age. Apart from this there are many environmental reasons for choosing organics." There will be different judges each day; see Michael Weldon on Friday, Simon Lawson from Agape Restaurants on saturday & Sunday plus Kate Bracks and Adam Liaw.
